About this experience
A good fit for couples who want both a safari and a beach without stretching to two weeks. You start with flamingos and rhino at Lake Nakuru, spend a full day under Kilimanjaro in Amboseli, then cross into Tanzania for Lake Manyara, the Serengeti and a day on the Ngorongoro Crater floor. From there you fly to Zanzibar for a free day on the sand at Nungwi before heading home. The safari runs privately in a pop-up-roof 4x4 with your own guide.

Signature experiences
Optional extras we can add to this trip. Prices are per person and confirmed when you book.
Chilled drinks on a ridge as the sun drops and the sky turns — a quiet, golden end to a day of game drives.
A lantern-lit table set out under the stars, your own chef and a crackling fire — the safari dinner people remember for years.
Spend an hour in a working manyatta — the jumping dance, fire-making, and a look at daily Maasai life, hosted by the community itself.
On foot with an armed ranger — tracks, plants, birds and the small details a vehicle drives straight past.
Day by day
What each day looks like, from pickup in Nairobi to drop-off.
Your guide meets you in Nairobi, and after a quick coffee stop in the city you head down the Rift Valley escarpment to Lake Nakuru. The park is known for its flamingos, more than 400 bird species, black and white rhino and Rothschild's giraffe.
Lake Nakuru Lodge · Full-board
An early game drive for a last look at Nakuru's rhino and giraffe, then the long drive south to Amboseli National Park, with Kilimanjaro rising behind it.
Amboseli Sopa Lodge · Full-board
Up early for the first light on Kilimanjaro, then a long game drive among Amboseli's elephant herds, giraffe, wildebeest and baboons. A visit to a Maasai village is available as an optional extra.
Amboseli Sopa Lodge · Full-board
After breakfast you cross into Tanzania at Namanga, pass through Arusha and carry on to Lake Manyara National Park below the Rift Valley escarpment. The park is known for tree-climbing lions, hippos, flamingos and a wide mix of birds.
Lake Manyara Wildlife Lodge · Full-board
A full day in the Serengeti, centred on the Seronera area, looking for lion, leopard, cheetah, zebra, giraffe and gazelle. Keep an eye out for lilac-breasted rollers, ostriches and kori bustards too.
Seronera Wildlife Lodge · Full-board
An early breakfast and the drive to Ngorongoro, then down onto the crater floor for the day with a packed lunch. The crater holds a dense mix of wildlife, including lion, elephant, rhino and buffalo.
Ngorongoro Wildlife Lodge · Full-board
You leave the crater highlands for your flight to Zanzibar. On arrival you transfer to your hotel at Nungwi on the north coast.
A free day on the white-sand beach at Nungwi to swim, sunbathe or rest. If you'd like to see more, an optional visit to Nungwi village shows you local fishing life and craftspeople.
DoubleTree by Hilton, Nungwi
A last easy morning by the sea, then check-out and a transfer to the airport for your flight home.

Common questions
How do we get to Zanzibar?+
By air, after the Ngorongoro Crater. The flight isn't included in the price, but we can book it for you — message us and we'll quote it.
What about the border and visas?+
You drive from Amboseli into Tanzania at Namanga on day 4, and the crossing is part of the drive. You need a Kenya eTA and a Tanzania visa, and we help you apply for both.
Will other travellers join us?+
No. It's a private trip — your own vehicle and guide, and nobody else joins. If you'd like more beach time or a different lodge, ask us and we'll adjust the route.
