In the Maasai Mara you spend time in a Maasai community — the dances, the cattle, the stories — with warriors who guide you across land their families have kept wild. Then north to Samburu, cousins of the Maasai and keepers of the arid frontier, for their villages, their bead-work and their own herding way of life. A morning game drive, then an afternoon hosted in a Maasai manyatta — the jumping dance, fire-making, and the realities of Maasai life, led by the community.
A morning drive, then transfer north via Nairobi toward Samburu country (a long but scenic travel day).
Morning game drive for the northern specials, then a visit to a Samburu village — bead-work, song, and their cattle-and-camel way of life.
A full day in the reserve — reticulated giraffe, elephant at the river, and an optional camel walk with Samburu guides.
A final morning drive, then the drive back to Nairobi.
