Morning light-aircraft flight from Nairobi to Amboseli, met on the airstrip and driven to camp through the herds. Afternoon game drive across the marshes — the great tusker elephants, and Kilimanjaro clearing at dusk. Overnight at a boutique tented camp.

A full day beneath the mountain — dawn and late-afternoon game drives for the famous elephant families and big skies, with time to relax at camp over the heat of the day. Optional Maasai community visit or a guided nature walk.

A morning flight north (via Nairobi) to the Samburu National Reserve — a different Kenya entirely, arid and dramatic along the Ewaso Ng'iro river. Afternoon game drive for the 'Samburu Special Five' — reticulated giraffe, Grevy's zebra, gerenuk, Beisa oryx and Somali ostrich. Overnight at a riverside camp.

A full day in the north — big elephant herds at the river, leopard in the doum palms, and the special species you won't see further south. Samburu warriors often host a visit or an evening of song at camp. Overnight at the riverside camp.

A scenic flight south-west across the Rift to the Maasai Mara, the grand finale. Landing on a Mara airstrip, a game drive brings you into camp — and into the greatest concentration of big cats in Africa. Overnight at a luxury Mara camp.

A full day in the Mara with your private guide — lion prides, cheetah on the mounds, leopard in the riverine forest, and (July–October) the wildebeest massing at the Mara River crossings. An optional dawn hot-air balloon safari and champagne breakfast is the morning of a lifetime.

A second full day to go deeper — the conservancies beyond the reserve boundary offer off-road access and near-private sightings, or simply slow mornings and long lunches at camp. A farewell sundowner on the plains. Overnight at the Mara camp.

A final morning game drive and breakfast, then the light-aircraft flight back to Nairobi in time for your onward connection — or on to Diani for a beach finish, which we're happy to arrange.
